It used to be the case that lights in the garden were a luxury that only those with a lot of money could afford. Garden lights only used to be powered by mains voltage and this meant that how they were installed was extremely important. An armoured cable was used and this on its own was expensive, pair this with the fact that the cable then needed to be buried in a channel that was at least 18” deep and you can easily see that the installation costs were considerable. Unless you were at the design stage of your garden you also had the disturbance of digging up your garden to get the cable in their in the first place. Solar powered garden lights eliminated the need for power cables and as a consequence are extremely easily to install. Not only this but you can put solar powered lights where previously you thought impossible because you couldn’t get power to that position.

Wide variety
Outdoor lighting designs vary and will inevitably be tailored to your taste, it used to be the case that you could only get spotlights and coloured spotlight to illuminate trees – not very creative. Solar powered lights come in a variety of styles and forms so that you can choose the type of lighting that you want to fit your outdoor lighting scheme. Spotlights, string lights, marker lights and post lights are just a few of the forms that you can get string lights in.
