Happy and Gay

I have a friend named Jo Anne. She is a simple girl with a simple dream, which is to marry the man of her dreams, Allan. Jo Anne works in a koi center in which she breeds the black koi fish. Aside from that, she also helps clean the pond from time to time.

Allan, on the other hand is a girl magnet. He is hot, tall, handsome and charming. He is the son of the koi center’s owner. Although he is a happy-go-lucky guy, he visits their koi center every other day and helps feed and build koi pond for his father.

One sunny morning, Allan came early to the koi center and decided to help Jo Anne in her errands. She was shocked because for the past five years she’s been working there; it was the first time that he volunteered to help her. Not knowing what Allan’s motives were, she was still happy because for her, having Allan beside her was her breath of fresh air especially when she sees him half naked and with his toned muscles  exposed. The same incident happened for the next two weeks, Jo Anne thought that maybe, Allan has finally noticed her. Until one day, Allan asked if they can go out for dinner, and she agreed.

They went to a fine restaurant with an acoustic band. They ate, talked and laugh. Jo Anne was really happy; she felt that her dream of becoming Allan’s girl is finally coming true.

Their going out never stopped there. It happened several times again until one night Allan had an important to say to Jo Anne. He told her how special she is to him, and he is happy to share a secret that he kept for a while. He also told her that she is like a sister to him. Jo Anne was shocked and thinking to herself “a sister?” She wanted to cry, but instead shook her head in approval of what he said.

Ten minutes has passed when a stranger came up to them. Allan stood and kissed the stranger on the lips. Jo Anne could not believe it, she was in denial. Allan took her hand and introduced her to his boyfriend, Ruel. Yes, Allan was gay.  He told her that he is happy because her best friend finally met the love of his life. Out of respect, Jo Anne accepted the truth and still hoping that Allan would still become a real man like in her dreams.
